Kristin Walker, M. Ed.
Principal
With over a decade of experience in education, Ms. Walker brings energy, creativity, and a deep commitment to student success to MAS every single day. She is passionate about helping students build confidence in reading, writing, and critical thinking, while empowering teachers with the resources they need to thrive. Now in her second year as principal, Ms. Walker is thrilled to build on the incredible foundations laid last year, dedicating her time to leading our school community, championing our staff, and ensuring every student at MAS has an engaging, high-quality learning environment.
Louise Mentzer
K/1st Teacher
Mrs. Mentzer is a seasoned educator with over 20 years of experience and a proven track record of student achievement. Originally from Washington, D.C., she brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the McIntosh Area School community.
Candace Stephens
Administrative Assistant
Ms. Stephens is a fifth-generation Marion County native who has been keeping the front office running smoothly at McIntosh Area School since 2017. Her deep community roots and dedication make her an invaluable resource for families and staff alike.

Shiva Sater
Paraprofessional
​Shiva earned their paraprofessional certification straight out of high school and has spent over two years providing instructional support and collaborating with teachers to create engaging learning experiences.
Kevin Greenberg
4th/5th Teacher
Originally from Orlando, Florida, Mr. Greenberg brings over three decades of military experience and a wealth of international perspective from his years living in Europe. He earned his degree from Keiser University. Mr. Greenberg has already met all state requirements to teach grades K–6 while he continues working toward his professional teaching certification through the State of Florida’s military veteran pathway.MAS is thrilled to have Mr. Greenberg back in our community and looks forward to the continued positive impact he will make on our upper elementary students and school.

Phyllis Woods
2nd/3rd Teacher
Ms. Woods brings experience teaching both general education and ESE students in Marion County, along with a background in family services that deepens her commitment to student well-being. She holds a Master's in Management and Leadership from Webster University and a Bachelor's in Business Management from the College of Central Florida. Her classroom is warm and hands-on, with excellent management and differentiated instruction that helps every child feel comfortable, confident, and ready to explore and grow. She is thrilled to be a part of the MAS family.
Isaiah Dudley
Teaching Internt
Isaiah Christopher Dudley was born and raised in Chiefland, Florida, and is proud to serve the community as an educator. After spending nine years as a United States Navy Aircrewman, he brings leadership, dedication, and a passion for helping others to the classroom. Isaiah and his wife are proud parents of two children. He looks forward to inspiring his students while continuing to grow as an educator and making a positive impact on both the school and the community.
