DISMISSAL SAFETY AND PROCEDURES
Car line begins at 2:20 and ends at 2:40
SAFETY and ACCOUNTABILITY is our NUMBER ONE GOAL
Students will be in the back seat and in a proper restraint system according to Florida Law. The Sheriff's Office and Safe School Officers periodically check compliance.
- Florida law requires the use of seat belts or child restraint for all children riding
in a vehicle under 18.
- Children should be in the rear seats until at least age 12, since deployed front
seat air bags is dangerous to children.
- Florida’s safety belt law is a primary enforcement law, meaning an officer can
stop a vehicle and issue a citation simply for observing a safety belt or restraint
Students exit/enter cars on the passenger side only. No walking between cars for teachers, students or parents.
NO CELL PHONE USE IN CAR LINE
Only enter Car line from I street (off 441) or H & 10th street.
Do not walk through the cones or drive around them between the cones and the fence.
Each family has numbered carline tags - that must be on display to allow each child to be released to properly. If you forget your tag, please park and show identification to the staff so they can check your authorization for child pickup.
If you want to walk up to get your child, access the front of the school via J street (off 441) and park in front of the school along the fence. Use the pedestrian access and wait for the teacher to make contact with you and your child to ensure accountability and proper adult being released to. Make eye/verbal contact with your child's teacher before leaving.
Do not park on the grass in front of the main office building as this area belongs to the Doctor's office and is not to be parked on.
Please use the handicap designated parking, as needed
